We invite you to join our impressive school health field for an afternoon of advocacy on the afternoon of Thursday, May 17, 2018.
In small groups, you will be assigned to 1-3 meetings with Sacramento policymakers. This will give you the opportunity to teach them about school-based health and encourage their support for policies that move the school health movement forward. While we can’t guarantee it, we will do our best to assign you to an advocacy meeting with your representative(s).

Get Ready for Your Visit
We encourage everyone, regardless of experience advocating to policymakers, to join in raising our collective voice. In order to answer questions and prepare you for advocacy meetings, we are offering two webinars that will cover the basics of advocacy, what to expect in meetings with legislators, and a draft agenda for meetings. These webinars will be held on:
- Tuesday, April 24, 11am-12pm PT
- Thursday, May 10, 3-4pm PT
Advocacy Day is free for all conference attendees. To participate in this event and the webinars, select a ticket that includes “Advocacy Day” during registration on Eventbrite.
